...for they will see mercy
Join the young people from the Archdiocese of Birmingham as we prepare to join millions of other young men and women from across the world in Krakow for the next international World Youth Day in 2016.
Krakow 2016 is the 30th World Youth Day since it began in 1986. We are returning to the homeland of the Pope who started it all, St Pope John Paul II. Right from the beginning of his pontificate, St John Paul said to young people, "You are my hope". He trusted young people, he encouraged them in their faith and witness. Each World Youth Day gathering he challenged each of us to be heralds of the Gospel in our homes, towns and cities.
Don't be afraid to show yourselves in the streets and public places!... It is not time to be ashamed of the Gospel, but to priest it out loud
Be part of the Birmingham Pilgrimage to World Youth Day Krakow 2016 and be inspired by the Pope of the Youth, St John Paul II. Find out more about our pilgrimage and on information about booking a place by clicking the links below.
Be not afraid! Open the doors to Christ, open them wide... Open them to His saving power!
